Privacy Policy

Throttle Up Media ("we," "us," "our") operates throttleupmedia.com. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and how you can reach us with questions or requests. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not currently run any analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts on this site.

What this site collects today

As of the effective date above, throttleupmedia.com uses no analytics tools and no advertising pixels. Nothing on this site tracks you as you browse. Two things do involve your device, and both are described below: the cookie banner stores your choice so we do not ask again, and video contacts nobody until you press play. The only information we receive is what you choose to send us directly, for example by emailing andrew@throttleupmedia.com. That may include your name, email address, and anything else you include in your message.

Standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) may be recorded by our hosting provider for security and reliability purposes. We do not use this information for marketing or profiling.

Why we collect it

Information sent by email is used only to respond to your inquiry and, if a project moves forward, to communicate about that project. We do not use it for any other purpose and do not share it with third parties except as needed to deliver the service you have asked for (for example, a subcontractor working on your project), or as required by law.

Video on this site

Some pages show video that is hosted on YouTube. When the page loads, nothing is requested from YouTube: what you see is a still image stored on our own server. The video is only requested if you press play.

If you do press play, YouTube receives your IP address and the address of the page you are on, and may set cookies on your device, in the same way it would if you opened the video on YouTube directly. We use youtube-nocookie.com, which is YouTube's reduced-tracking embed. YouTube is operated by Google, and Google's handling of that information is governed by its own privacy policy. If you do not press play, no request reaches YouTube at all.

Cookies and your choices

This site runs a consent management platform from Osano. It stores a small first-party cookie recording what you chose, so you are not asked on every visit. That record is the only cookie this site sets, and it exists because you interacted with the banner.

We honor Global Privacy Control and similar browser opt-out signals. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie preferences control on this site.

We currently run no analytics and no advertising tools. If we add any in future, the consent platform will block them until you affirmatively accept, and we will update this policy before they go live. Nothing will track you before you have made an explicit choice.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us not to share it. Because we do not sell personal information and collect almost none to begin with, honoring these requests is straightforward. To exercise any of these rights, email andrew@throttleupmedia.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days.

Do not sell or share my personal information

We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for advertising purposes, and we have no plans to. If that ever changes, we will provide a working opt-out mechanism on this page before doing so.

Data retention

We keep email correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to manage our relationship with you and to meet our own recordkeeping and legal obligations, then delete it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information sent to us, including using a reputable hosting provider and standard email security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for business owners and marketing decision-makers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes, particularly if we add analytics or advertising tools. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
