Throttle Up Media ("we," "us," "our") operates throttleupmedia.com. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and how you can reach us with questions or requests. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not currently run any analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts on this site.
What this site collects today
We run no analytics tools or advertising pixels. Videos, preview images, and captions come from our own server. Display preferences can save settings in your browser. Our web host logs requests as described below. We receive what you choose to send us directly, for example by emailing andrew@throttleupmedia.com. That may include your name, email address, and anything else you include in your message.
Standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) may be recorded by our hosting provider for security and reliability purposes. We do not use this information for marketing or profiling.
Why we collect it
Information sent by email is used only to respond to your inquiry and, if a project moves forward, to communicate about that project. We do not use it for any other purpose and do not share it with third parties except as needed to deliver the service you have asked for (for example, a subcontractor working on your project), or as required by law.
Video on this site
Videos play from our own server. Their preview images and captions also come from our server. Playing a video on this site makes no request to YouTube or Google.
Each video has a plain link to watch it on YouTube. If you follow that link, you leave this site and Google's privacy policy applies.
Tools we run on clients' YouTube channels
Separate from this website, Throttle Up Media runs an internal tool called Sermon Updater for clients who ask us to look after their YouTube channel. It uses YouTube API Services to upload videos, edit titles, descriptions and thumbnails, add caption tracks and file videos into playlists on the client's own channel. It is not offered to the public, and nothing on this site uses it. By using YouTube API Services, we and our clients are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of the information involved is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
To set the tool up, the client signs in with the Google account that owns the channel and grants the tool permission to manage it. Google then gives us an access token, which we keep on an encrypted Throttle Up Media computer and never share. Through that token the tool reads and writes the channel's own video details: titles, descriptions, captions, thumbnails and playlist membership. We keep a copy of each title and description before we change it, so the change can be undone, and a copy of each caption file we upload. The tool does not read comments, subscriber lists, analytics or anything about the people who watch the videos, and we do not sell, share or use any of this information for advertising.
We delete the token and the saved copies when the client ends the service or asks us to. A client can also cut off the tool's access at any time on Google's security settings page at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
Display preferences
The display preferences control can change text size, high-contrast dark appearance, and site animation behavior. If you make a change, the setting is stored in local storage in your browser for throttleupmedia.com so it can apply on later pages. It is not sent to us or to another company, and it does not create a cookie.
Cookies
This site runs no analytics or advertising tools and sets no tracking cookies. Display preferences use local storage in your browser, as described above.
Until October 2026 this site used the Osano consent tool. We removed it on October 20, 2026.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. This site does not change what it does when it gets that signal. It runs no analytics or advertising tools, so the signal has nothing to switch off. Videos play from our own server, so pressing play sends nothing to YouTube.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us not to share it. Because we do not sell personal information and collect almost none to begin with, honoring these requests is straightforward. To exercise any of these rights, email andrew@throttleupmedia.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will reply in writing and act on the request as the law that applies to you requires.
Do not sell or share my personal information
We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for advertising purposes, and we have no plans to. If that ever changes, we will provide a working opt-out mechanism on this page before doing so.
Data retention
We keep email correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to manage our relationship with you and to meet our own recordkeeping and legal obligations, then delete it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information sent to us, including using a reputable hosting provider and standard email security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for business owners and marketing decision-makers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes, particularly if we add analytics or advertising tools. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
